1. What does LKI do?

LKI engages in research on Sri Lanka’s international relations and strategic studies. For further information, please refer to:  About, Programmes

2. Does LKI conduct courses?

No, we do not. However, our sister institute, the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute, offers courses for prospective students. For more information, please refer to their website: http://bidti.lk

3. How do I contact the Executive Director or Members of the Board of Management?

If you wish to contact the Executive Director, please send an email to programmes@lki.lk. We regret that we do not provide the contact details of Members of the Board to the general public. 

4. Is LKI's library open to the general public?

We are currently cataloguing our collection of books and other publications. After this is completed, we plan to develop a membership programme that will enable access for organisations and individuals to the library collection for reference material.

5. Is LKI part of the Foreign Ministry?

LKI is a statutory institution that receives financial and other support from the Foreign Ministry. By statute, the Chairman of the Board of Management is the incumbent Foreign Minister. However, the Board of Management, comprising the Chairman and other members, operates independently of the Ministry.

6. Are LKI premises available for hire?

The auditorium and gardens are available for hire at attractive rates. For further information, please see our Venue Hire page.

7. How can I support or get involved in the work of LKI?

We are delighted that you are interested in supporting and being involved in the programmes of LKI. To obtain information on supporting LKI, or to receive information on how you or your organisation can participate in our programmes, please email programmes@lki.lk. 8. Can I collaborate with LKI in conducting research?

LKI welcomes proposals for collaboration with external researchers and organisations. Please contact us at programmes@lki.lk.
